terms
A few clear boundaries for using ADHDer: the website, the app, the members' area and AI Assistant.
About these terms
ADHDer (adhder.co.uk) is run by [Legal name to be added], [Postal address to be added] ("we" or "us"). These terms apply when you use the ADHDer website, the ADHDer app, the members' area and AI Assistant. By using them, you agree to these terms. Our privacy notice explains how we handle your information.
Not medical advice
ADHDer shares personal experience, general information and practical tools. It is not a medical, diagnostic, prescribing, pharmacy, therapy or crisis service, and nothing on ADHDer (including anything AI Assistant says) is medical advice.
Don't start, stop or change any treatment or medication because of something you read or are told on ADHDer. Speak to your GP, prescriber, pharmacist or another qualified professional about your own situation.
If you need help now: call 999 in an emergency, NHS 111 for urgent medical advice, Samaritans on 116 123 (free, any time), or text SHOUT to 85258.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over to create an account.
- Give accurate details and keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- Don't pretend to be someone else or try to access anyone else's account or information.
The app
The ADHDer app helps you keep track of tasks, notes, moods, sleep, medication and reminders. It's a personal organiser, not a medical device. Reminders and notifications depend on your device, browser and internet connection, so they may not always arrive. Don't rely on them alone for anything important, such as taking medication.
Any pattern analysis or report is for your own insight and is not a diagnosis.
AI Assistant
- AI Assistant is an optional AI helper for members. Its replies are written by AI and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Please check anything important before you act on it.
- It isn't a person, a doctor or a therapist, and it can't help in an emergency.
- There's a daily limit on the number of messages you can send.
- Don't use it to create anything unlawful, harmful or abusive.
Gmail and Google Calendar
If you choose to connect Gmail or Google Calendar, AI Assistant can summarise your emails, save reply drafts and check or add calendar events, as explained in our privacy notice.
- You're responsible for anything you send. AI Assistant only saves replies as drafts and never sends email. Read and edit any draft before you send it yourself.
- Calendar events are only added after you tap Yes. Check the date, time and details before you confirm.
- Only connect accounts that are yours, or that you're allowed to use in this way.
- You can disconnect at any time in Account settings.
Using ADHDer fairly
Please don't:
- send threats, abuse, spam or unlawful content;
- send prescriptions, medical records or detailed health histories through our forms;
- try to break, overload, scrape or get around the security of the website, app or AI Assistant; or
- use ADHDer in a way that harms other people or breaks the law.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Our content
We try to keep information accurate and to link to reliable sources, but guidance changes and personal stories don't apply equally to everyone. Check important information with the original source or a professional.
The articles, design and other content on ADHDer belong to us or the people who licensed them to us. You're welcome to read and share links, but please don't copy or republish our content without permission. What you record in the app or type to AI Assistant stays yours.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We're not responsible for their content.
Changes and availability
We may change, pause or stop parts of ADHDer, including AI Assistant and its connections, at any time. We try to keep everything running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free from faults. If we make important changes to these terms, we'll update this page and change the date below.
Our responsibility to you
We provide ADHDer with reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for decisions you make based on its content or on AI Assistant's replies, for emails you send, or for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law, or our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Account settings. This also deletes your app records and AI Assistant chats, and disconnects Gmail and Google Calendar, as explained in our privacy notice.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also use the courts where you live.
